After crossing the Krk bridge it is the first place we reach. It has a very long and rich history and is famous for its churches, a few of them ornamented with Glagolitic inscriptions and valuable paintings.
People in Omišalj are trying to preserve their old customs, traditional songs and dances and the Feast of the Assumption (15th August) is traditionally a special celebration in Omišalj.
